My parents have been raving about Bistro 330 for months. I finally had the pleasure to visit a few weeks ago. It’s a cozy little gem tucked away in the heart of La Salle, Manitoba.
For starters, we ordered the ½ LB Mussels and Warm Crab + Jalapeno Dip. If you’re a fan of seafood, both are appetizers you simply can’t resist.
½ LB Mussels
Plump mussels swimming in a delightful white wine cream sauce, accompanied by a side of perfectly cooked garlic toast, make for a delectable combination. They also offer mussels and fries as a main.
Warm Crab + Jalapeno Dip
The creamy dip, with its perfect balance of crab and jalapeno, offers a delightful explosion of flavours. At CDN$16, it’s a fantastic way to start your culinary adventure at Bistro 330.
Fried Chicken Deluxe
Hand-battered crispy fried chicken is paired with shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and creamy ranch dressing. I opted for the “try it buffalo” option to add some kick to it with yam fries.
Classic Reuben
For those who appreciate a traditional sandwich, the Classic Reuben is a must-try. This hearty creation boasts a generous portion of corned beef, sauerkraut, mustard, thousand island dressing, Swiss cheese, and pickles.
Philly Cheesesteak
A tantalizing creation that combines roasted shaved beef, red peppers, onions, banana peppers, creamy ranch dressing, provolone cheese, and peppercorn sauce. This sandwich is a savory delight that will have you reaching for more with every bite.
The restaurant also offers a gluten-free option with no buns.
Cantina Salad
If you’re in the mood for a lighter option, the Cantina Salad is the perfect choice. This refreshing salad features Cajun chicken, mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, cheese, tortilla strips, and a zesty peanut lime dressing. Priced at CDN$20, it’s a satisfying and flavourful dish.
Chicken Primavera Pasta
At times the restaurant offers a daily special, and the Chicken Primavera Pasta was a delightful treat. Tender chicken, vibrant vegetables, and perfectly cooked pasta tossed in a flavourful sauce make this dish a wonderful choice for pasta lovers.
White Chocolate Brownie Cake
To conclude our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the White Chocolate Brownie Cake. This dessert was a true delight. It is a luscious white chocolate mousse with generous chunks of chocolate brownie resting on a flourless chocolate brownie crust.
The staff at Bistro 330 was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable.
