Bestie wanted to go to Clementine for her birthday. We got there at 9:08 a.m. on a Sunday – just eight minutes after opening – and were told there’d be about an hour wait 🤯
Luckily, I had a backup plan. I’d been wanting to try SOHO Kitchen + Wine since it opened on September 15, 2025, and it’s just a street over. Perfect timing.
SOHO takes European-inspired dishes and gives them a local, approachable twist, serving up all-day breakfast favourites, hearty lunch options, and a well-curated selection of wine. The creative force behind the menu is Chef Oleksandr, whose cooking is shaped by years of experience and time spent in Naples, Italy. You can feel that European influence throughout the menu, but it’s presented in a very approachable, brunch-friendly way.
When we walked in, only a couple of tables were occupied. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the space felt bright, welcoming, and larger than I expected. As we settled in, more and more guests started arriving, and the room quickly filled with that cozy weekend breakfast energy.
Our hot drinks were excellent, complete with beautiful latte art ☕️. My matcha latte was especially lovely, topped with a Christmas tree design that felt perfectly on theme for the holiday season.

We ordered:
Mushroom Scramble Toast Duo
Two slices of sourdough topped with fluffy scrambled eggs, sautéed mushrooms, and fresh chives. It smelled amazing, looked fantastic, and my friend polished it off in no time.

Benedict Avocado
Avocado, hummus, tomatoes, two poached eggs, and hollandaise on sourdough toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly. I stole a bite, and everything worked beautifully together. The hollandaise wasn’t overpowering, making this a dish that would easily please a wide range of brunch lovers.

Spinach & Salmon Pancakes
Savoury pancakes with spinach, smoked salmon, Grana Padano, and parsley oil. This dish was absolutely stunning and packed with flavour. I have to say, the savoury pancakes completely won me over. Simply outstanding.

Every dish was visually appealing and genuinely delicious.
I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu, and I’m so happy that the Exchange District has gained another standout brunch spot.
