6 Popular Non-Buffet All You Can Eat Restaurants in Winnipeg, Canada

Winnipeg has no shortage of AYCE (All You Can Eat) options – but if buffets aren’t your thing and you’d rather stay seated while your food stays hot, this list is for you. These six popular non-buffet AYCE spots are where Winnipeggers go when they want to feast without getting up every five minutes.

Listed in no particular order:

IGI BBQ & Sushi Bistro
📍1875 Pembina Hwy #10, Winnipeg, MB

https://igi-sushi.com/

IGI has been around for years and remains one of the priciest AYCE spots in town – but for good reason. It offers both Korean BBQ and Japanese food, including sushi and sashimi. Its co-owner is from the family that owns Sun Fortune Restaurant.

My food squad and I go there every year to celebrate each other’s birthdays. We always end up ordering more short ribs than we should, but it’s worth it.

Since the pandemic, they’ve stopped offering AYCE hot pot in the back, and dining is by reservation only. There’s a two-hour limit, so don’t linger too long.

See my previous blog post about the restaurant.

Hotly Pot
📍2230 McPhillips St Unit 4, Winnipeg, MB

Hotly Pot shares the same owner as Seoul Korea BBQ & Moral Village Hot Pot and Gol’s Lanzhou Noodles. It’s located in Winnipeg’s North End—a 45-minute drive for me. Maybe because there aren’t many hot pot spots around, the place was packed. Even with a reservation, we still had to wait 15 minutes.

The condiments, fountain drinks, dim sum, and ice cream stations are all squeezed into a tiny corner, making the space feel pretty cramped. The dim sum options are limited, but honestly, we were there mostly for the hot pot.

That night was busy, and after ordering from the iPad, we didn’t get half of our food. We had to ask three different waitresses to check on our order before anything came.

Overall, it wasn’t our best hot pot experience, but judging by the crowd, plenty of locals seem to enjoy it.

Busan Korean BBQ
📍1521 Pembina Hwy #2., Winnipeg, MB

https://www.busankoreabbq.com/

Busan may be small, but it packs big flavours. You’ll find a good selection of meats, though fewer seafood and veggie options. But the real win is their Korean hot dishes – think kimchi seafood pancakes, bubbling seafood tofu soup, and comforting pork bone broth. Delicious!

Order through the QR code on your table, so don’t forget your phone.

Pro tip: make a reservation unless you enjoy the thrill of waiting. 😉

The three restaurants below were opened in early 2025. I have already written a blog post about all of them:

Seoul Korea BBQ & Moral Village Hot Pot
📍1855 Pembina Hwy #102, Winnipeg, MB

Seoul Korea BBQ took over the spot previously held by Dagu Rice Noodles and Gloria Dim Sum. Moral Village Hot Pot moved to the back of the restaurant.

If you love meat, this AYCE spot is basically heaven. Service was friendly, and I’m already planning a return trip this fall.

Fan Jiang Hu Hot Pot 饭江湖火锅店
📍1480 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, MB

This place is pretty well hidden. Its only social media presence is on RedNote (小红书). It shares the same location as Balangza Uyghur Cuisine 疆进酒, so don’t be thrown off if you’re looking for it.

Yama Sukiyaki
📍730 St Anne’s Rd unit Q, Winnipeg, MB

Yama sukiyaki reopened on May 5, 2025, with an updated menu.

All You Can Eat is only available from Friday to Sunday. Monday to Thursday, they switch to a set menu, so plan accordingly.
