It Took 3 Tries to Eat at Roasted Nomad. Worth the Effort?

Third time is the charm! Since they opened in 2024, I attempted to visit Roasted Nomad twice but just couldn’t get in. One time the lineup was wrapping right out the door, and the other time they happened to be closed on that particular Saturday.

Fortunately, I was finally able to check it out a couple of months ago!

They open Tuesday through Sunday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. Since it was summertime on a weekend – when many people are travelling or heading out to the lake – we lucked out. We got there around 9:15 am, and the staff seated my friends and me at a table immediately. By the way, keep in mind that they don’t take reservations.

Additionally, it also happened to be our server’s very first day on the job, and she did a fantastic job!

☕ Drinks to Start the Meal

The drinks hit the spot perfectly. We ordered

  • Americano at CAD$4.50
  • Matcha Latte at CAD$6 (which I really enjoyed)
  • Drip coffee at CAD$4
  • Grape juice at CAD$4

The coffee mug was absolutely huge – honestly, the best way to start the meal.

🍽️ The Breakfast Dishes We Ordered

Huevos Racheros 墨西哥牧场蛋

This comes with two soft basted eggs and Catallina’s homemade salsa served warm on crispy tortillas. It’s topped with feta cheese and a sour cream drizzle and served alongside refried beans and a slice of avocado. My friend added chorizo for an extra CAD$5.

I saw the server bring the plate and put it right in front of my friend. The next time I looked over, there was literally nothing left on the plate. I asked him how it was, and he just said, “Really good.” Guess that answers that!

The Brandon Brisket 布兰登牛肉
For anyone who loves meat, I highly recommend this dish.

It was absolutely packed with goodies: BBQ brisket burnt ends and two soft poached eggs resting on a bed of cubed hashbrowns, all topped with bell peppers, onions, and a spicy aioli.

Fun fact: it’s also highly recommended by their Brandon Paramedic guests!

My friend added a side of bacon and sausage for CAD$8. It was tasty, satisfying, and left him with absolutely no complaints.

Eggs Benedict 班尼迪克蛋

This comes with two soft poached eggs and your choice of ham, bacon, or sauteed spinach on an open-faced croissant, topped with house-made hollandaise and served with cubed hashbrowns.

It’s a total classic with a great portion size. The eggs were cooked absolutely perfectly. At CAD$21, you really can’t go wrong.

T&T Breakfast Sandwich 早餐三明治 (CAD$19)
This features bell peppers and onions scrambled with eggs, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a garlic aioli on toasted City Bread marble rye. It’s also served with cubed hashbrowns.

This dish is easy on the eye, and I absolutely loved the texture of the rye. All the ingredients and flavours blend together very well.

T&T Breakfast Sandwich

The Classic 传统早餐 (CAD$18)
Two eggs with your choice of bacon, ham, or breakfast sausage, served with cubed hashbrowns and marble rye toast.

Again, the portion here is massive. The bacon served with a couple of our dishes was unfortunately a little overcooked, but the staff handled it promptly without any issues at all.

Massive The Classic Breakfast

Overall, it’s a solid spot for breakfast and brunch in the city. If you haven’t been yet, it is definitely worth a visit!
